Turn To Your Mate Questions
- Turn to your spouse now and name one or two things that you love to do together as a couple. Then talk about something that you like to do on your own and that you don't do together.
- You already talked about some of the things you each do individually as well as together. Now we want you to tell your spouse if you want him or her to be involved more in any of your interests. Discuss openly how you can support and honor one another's activities better.
- Think about one way your spouse can be more connected to your world. Tell your spouse one thing that he or she can do in this area.
Coaching Drill
Sit down with a calendar and put two things on the calendar in the next month. We want each of you to choose an activity that your spouse can do with you. Choose one date for you both to do what the wife wants, and one to do what the husband wants. By simply setting a date to connect in this way, you'll begin to experience greater emotional intimacy and who knows, you may even have some fun together!
