The NABC Experience

The Need

Imagine spending over 100 nights away from your family each year. Imagine living under the scrutiny and pressure of everyone you know to make your team win. Imagine pouring your life into those you coach and then seeing them leave your team to graduate or play somewhere else. Imagine the challenges affecting your schedule and the stress inflicted on you and your family.

Basketball coaches have a big job and that job touches countless people including family, players, campers, other coaches, school officials, fans, and students. It is estimated that a college basketball coach directly influences the lives of at least 15,000 people over 10 years. These coaches have access to a wealth of information on how to build and run a great program, win games, and succeed in their field. But never has there been a program specifically designed to meet the needs of a coach’s own marriage and family by equipping him to win at home…and then model and teach those crucial life principles to players and others he influences. Until now.

“The life of a college basketball coach is one of being on call 24/7. A healthy, happy, and godly marriage and family for a coach will not happen without diligent work and attention.”
